My dad was an artist at heart and a (computer) System’s Analyst by trade. When I think of my dad the only artist that comes to mind is Lautrec. My dad identified with him on several levels.

I have a Lautrec lithograph. It reminds me of my dad.    
  
A very wonderful person talked a lot about a movie he liked. He got me sorta curious so I took the time to watch it. Moulin Rouge … I remembered that was where Lautrec hung out in his day so when I heard the name of the movie I was instantly reminded of my dad. I had a feeling before I even watched it that I would love it.

I was not let down. It’s sorta quirky … who knew Ewan McGregor could sing … but it’s really good. I definitely don’t regret watching or buying it.    

Today I am sharing two images. They are Lautrecs. They remind me of my dad and another amazing person I know. x

Sooo … on to the books …

Undead and Unemployed … second book in a vampire series by Mary Janice Davidson. I didn’t realize that I had the 1st in the series so I will be reading that next. Lite vampire chick-lit, not really a romance just funny and an easy read. If you read it you will be reminded of me. LOL

The Trudeau Vector by Juris Jurjevics. It’s a Thriller. I’m honestly impressed by this author’s first novel. Well researched. Takes place at an Arctic Circle Research station. There are two stories going on … a female epidemiologist arrives in the Arctic to investigate mysterious deaths and an old Russian Admiral is sent to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a Russian submarine. The two stories are related and combine by the end of the book. I recommend it.  

Both were good for what they were. Something I noticed each book had 2 sex scenes … Vector was a lot more graphic but that story in general felt a lot more real.
