Thought for today:

Some people are like Slinkies. They don’t really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Well I was looking at some Tommy images … and I reallly liked how he aged in TVQ! Here are two images … one from early on and one from later when he has aged quite a few years! It’s odd to see him with wrinkles!

Let’s see … movies I’ve watched recently … 

Platoon … not nearly as gorey as I thought it was gonnabe. Good war movie. 

Eight Below … bring a Kleenex! A good movie and the doggies are SOOO cute! NO I don’t want one!!!

March of the Penguins … ZzZzZzZzZz. Someone remind me why I watched that?

Hmm what else have I seen recently …

Ocean’s Twelve … it was an ok predictable movie.

DOOM … gorier than Platoon and it was better than I expected. I like horror movies … I had to squeeze my eyes shut and plug my ears a couple times LOL

Mission to Mir … good documentary on the Russian space station!

Wallace & Gromit ~ The Curse of the Were-Rabbit … I loved it … if you like W&G you too will enjoy it!!

Books … let’s see … what I’ve been reading the past month or so …  

Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. Prequil to The Da Vinci Code. It was a great read! Kept me riveted. I was only semi-surprised by the ending but it is definitely worth reading!!! I can’t wait to read The Da Vinci Code!

Star Trek ~ Vulcan’s Soul ~ Book 1 ~ Exodus. I have to admit that I was excited to pick this up. Unfortunately I had a very difficult time getting into it … there is so much flashing back and forward that at some points you have no clue where you are at. I didn’t get the complete picture until the end of the book. I had to re-read the first 3 chapters almost 4 times LOL not highly recommended unless you are a sci-fi geek. I will be buying book 2! I am a glutten for punishment! 
 
The Colorado Kid by Stephen King. Not horror! More of a character study/mystery. A well-written story thou and worth a read!
