SFC Darrin M. Domko – ” … the flag raising. The pictures of the cemetery are where … the two flags are getting raised. It’s an American Cemetery for 9000 US soldiers that were killed during WWII. The families chose to leave their loved ones buried there. This is an all American Cemetery and every moring they raise the flag of the United States and on the day we went we got there just as they were raising it so our soldiers got to do the honors. It is an amazing cemetery and it is located right on Omaha Beach, when you got to the edge of the cliffs you can look down on where D-Day took place.”
